How to: Display or hide special layout symbols such as paragraph marks and tabs.
Solution:
Select 'Options...' from the 'Tools' menu and select or clear the symbols on the 'View' tab sheet in the 'Nonprinting Characters' group.
NOTE: Examples are the paragraph mark, the space, and tab symbols.
1) Select the 'Tools' menu and select 'Options...'. (The 'Options' dialog box appears.)
2) Click the 'View' tab.
3) In the 'Nonprinting Characters' group, do one of the following:
a) To display symbols, select the desired symbols to display.
b) To hide symbols, select the desired symbols to hide.
4) Click 'OK'.
